Hey there 2010!

Happy New Year!!
My new year resolution is to eat healthier. Watch what I consume, and how much of it. Become more independent. This is the year I become 20. Only a few more months left before I leave my teen years, so I'm going to enjoy what's left of it. I'm already on the right track. I got transferred to a new college for the Spring 10' semester without my parents help.
So to everyone out there, Happy New Year!!
Remember, it's a new year, so there should be a new you.

Youtube.

Found a funny video on youtube. I still can't upload, or add videos on my blog, I don't know why. But anywho, it's really funny, check it out by clicking here.

Happy Holidays/ Why must white people overexplain things to people of color, like myself?

Merry Christmas!! And to those of you who don't celebrate Christmas, Happy Holidays!!

I've been busy lately, trying to register for my new school, meet up with the adviser's at the school, and register for my classes. Haven't registered for my classes yet, and the deadline to do so is January 7.
CRUNCH TIME. So many things to do in so little time.

And my father is telling me I'm not suppose to take no less than 5 courses.
Oh, he can say that, but he can't say don't take more than 5 courses.
Teachers.
So I went to the school, because I HAD to make an appointment with an adviser.
I arrived at the campus 5 minutes early, and I had to wait for about 30-40 minutes for the adviser to see me. It was finally my time to see him.The best part of that meeting was the advisor telling me, "so yea, this is the sheet with the courses you need to take, and since you did a lot of science courses at your old school, you don't have to do any......for now. So go ahead and pick one class from each group. I don't care which one you pick, just pick one. And oh yea, you need writing intensive courses, so pick the ones that have a W." And he got up in search of a paper with the letter 'W', and showed me. And he was pointing at it like yea, like that.
When that happened, my mind went blank for a minute, like is this for real? Did he just do that? Ah, how nice of you to show me what a 'W' looks like.
Then I remembered this posting, from one of the blogs I follow.
(stuff white people do.) <---- That's the name of the blog, seriously.
Personally, I think he was on something. He didn't seem 'right' in the head.

4 in the morning/ Vegan recipes.

At four in the morning, I started cleaning. It was after 3 this morning when I remembered that my brother had to go to work early in the morning. I was half awake, so I went in the kitchen and started drinking from a 2 litre bottle of Crush orange soda. I fell asleep with the bottle in my hand, and half a hour later I got up feeling energized.
I started cleaning the bath tub and the bathroom floors. I even changed the curtains. Even though it took me 5 minutes to figure out how to put up the shower curtain. I still felt energized, so I started cleaning the dining room floor, and sweeping the carpets. Then I moved from the passageway to the kitchen.
After doing grocery, and cleaning the entire house in two hours. I finally took a shower, and went to lay down, and allowed the t.v. to put me to sleep at around 8.

I got up a couple hours ago, and came on my computer and started reading food blogs. It amazes me to see how creative people can get at times. For Christmas I'm planning to make banana bread for my family, and Leonson's. I'm also tired of seeing Leonson eat the same thing over and over. His rice and peas with vegan sauce. I understand he's Vegan, and that limits him to eating certain things. But my goal is to give variety to his diet. I just had a chat with him couple minutes ago, because I found this vegan recipe. Even the things he can eat, he doesn't like it.I was a bit skeptical about it. So I told him what it contained. He wasn't excited about it or anything, because he doesn't like vegetables. And that recipe contained a lot of vegetables. I won't be making that. Even though It seemed easy to make, and it looked delicious. Now I'm back to square one. Looking at food blogs for ideas to create a recipe he might actually like.

It's hard cooking for a vegan, a picky vegan to that.

Ipod (My).

Leonson doesn't want to use my ipod, because according to him, and my brother, "I have the weirdest songs."
Hmm, In today's world, the music industry has a lot offer. So I try and give artists a chance.
In the summer of 08, there was this spanish song, it played in target back to school commercials.
Majority of it was in Spanish. I talk little Spanish. If hola, me gusta, and como te llama doesn't count. Then I speak no Spanish. But anywho. The song was in Spanish. The beat was crazy, (meaning good). And I would make an attempt to sing along to it, not knowing what the singer is talking about. That's a shame. But..............................let me just say, that that didn't turn out good.

I love all sort of music, except country,(sorry, no Taylor Swift for me), and Hardcore metal.

New York Police Department (NYPD).

Please stop sending me e-mails, about how good the police department would be for me. I'm not interested. I understand that you guys need to boost the percentage of minorities being accepted to your fine institution. But unfortunately, I will not be participating. I'm not interested in roaming the streets of New York looking for bad guys. Or allow people to threaten me, and as a police officer, I would be unable to beat the crap out of that individual. No thanks. But thank you for thinking of me.

Leonson and his mom made a joke about what would happen if I became a cop.
His mom said I would be the nicest cop. Telling the arrestee that I'll be cuffing them now, and asking them if they could get in the car nicely and quietly.
Leonson on the other hand said I would probably humiliate the arrestee and break somewhere on his/her body, for example his/her nose, for resisting arrest.

I'm not a violent person.
I'm not one to promote violence. But if you decide to use violence towards me, I'll do the same in return.

The Boy in the striped Pyjamas/Race in our world.

I watched the movie this morning. It's such a great film, and sad at the same time. As soon as the movie ended, I got up and came on here. Click here to read what it's about.
I don't understand why, even in today's society, people despise each other because of the color of their skin, and because of their faith.
Who are they to say what's right, and what's wrong?
We live in a messed up world, and it's getting worse each and everyday.

The Holocaust- A period in time when the Germans tortured the Jewish people. The German soldiers forced then in an area, and burned them alive.
This is what I don't get. You have a few people saying that the holocaust never took place.
Oh really? So the people who survived, are lying? ..........OK.

Slavery- A period in time when the whites tortured black people. They thought that the blacks were inferior to them. They even beat them until they bleed. They raped the women.

I think that's where the saying came from. "The lighter the better."
If the slave owner impregnated a slave woman. The child would come out light skinned. So therefore, that child will end up working in the house, because he/she is light skinned.

Personally, I don't give a damn about where a person is from, or the color of their skin.
I have friends of different races.

They say we should listen to our teachers, because they know what's right from what's wrong.
I was born in Jamaica, and a few of the teachers tend to treat the white, and the light skin students differently. Different=better.

My High School was closing, so during my entire freshman year (3rd form or 9th grade), all of us were in every class together. So we were all friends.
Anyway, I had a friend. Let's call that friend Hayden. So, it was time for English class, and the book we had to read was about race. A hour and forty five minutes went by, and the bell rang. Class was over. But before she let us go, she pointed to Hayden, and said, "do you know why the color of your skin is like that?" The student said nothing. The teacher then said, "because the white man raped your mother." I was dumbfounded. And it came back to me, the student's mother passed away couple years back.

People in such a position say the most ignorant and dumbest crap.

Monk.

Monk is no more. Monk is one of my favorite shows. I mean, I've been watching it since I was in Jamaica-the 7th grade. Now I'm in my second year, (a sophomore) in college. Yea, it's been THAT long. It was great while it lasted though.

Now that was a GREAT show. I don't think there is going to be one like it again in awhile.

USA is missing out. They cancelled one of their best shows.

"All good things must come to an end."

New Jersey Nets

They lost yet another game, to the KNICKS.
Nets - 97 Knicks - 106

My journey to school is an adventure.

I go to school in the day, and during that time, that's when I see the craziest things.

So I just left my house, and I see a bunch of police cars circulating the area. At that point, I know they're looking for someone.
So I continue about my business, and couple blocks later, I see a cop frisking a boy. He was probably about 12 or 13. This kid should be in school, but no, he's out of school roaming the streets. So as I kept walking, I looked back couple times, and the kid was let go. The cop left, and finally he wasn't in view. And that's when the kid started running my way. He ran up to me, and stopped at a light post. He waited until everyone went past him, then he opened the bottom of the light post and took out a bag full of weed-marijuana.
I was laughing to myself the entire way to school. I'm sorry, but the situation was funny.
At first I felt sorry for the kid, but he turned out to be guilty.

Oldies but Goodies.

"If I have to beg, plead for your sympathy, I don't mind cause it means that much to me." No one writes music like that anymore.
I'm here studying, listening to some oldies. That play list to your left, have all the songs that I love.
Back then they called that type of music, Race Music.

I'm an old person stuck in a teenager's body.

New Jersey Nets.

"The Nets is this years Knicks."
This team has been on a losing streak. And I think they are close to making a record. "The first team to lose that many games in a row."

Wait, they(the Nets), played Charlotte Bobcats, and they won. My apologies.

They still suck.

CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute.

That's what I'm currently watching. And to hear the stories of these individuals touched me. Tears almost came to my eyes.
One person alone, is trying to change how this world operates, and so far, they are doing a good job at it.
Heroes of the year.

Drug dealers love Twilight.

Because of this scene from the movie Twilight. In New York, law enforcement busted a group of individuals, and they(the cops),were shocked, shocked I tell you, at what they saw. The drug dealers who were busted, were selling heroin and packed it in mini Twilight bags. They had the faces of the characters on them also. Majority of them were of Edward though.

What is this world coming to?

I have to ask myself that question over and over again whenever I read Bulls#!t like this in the morning newspaper.

Wierd song I'm loving at the moment.

It's not the norm. But for some strange reason I like it.
Leonson and I were watching t.v. the other day. Then it came on, and he got the remote and changed it. I told him to please put it back because I like it. He just looked at me with this 'are you serious right now' face. He wished I was, but I wasn't.
I asked my brother just now to listen to it. He listened to it for about 45 seconds, and all he had to say was, "that's whack." He then insisted on taking my picture on his new phone. News flash Michael, I don't enjoy being IN pictures. I only enjoy taking them.

My father, sexist?

Pasta anyone?

I was around my computer looking at recipes on how to make pasta. Then I totally forgot about it, and started talking to Leonson. 15 minutes later, my father came in my room asking me why I'm not making dinner. I was about to call him sexist, and give him examples on how guys like him worsen our society. Blah, blah, blah. I mean I was upset, because my brother is home, so why did he tell me to go in the kitchen and make dinner. I totally forgot that I promisedd him that I would make dinner. He didn't even eat anything, because he was waiting for me.
Haha, my bad.
So yea, I made pasta. I chopped up 3 pegs of garlic, and added a bottle of pasta sauce, and a few meat kind. Last but not least, I added Cayenne pepper. I add this to everything except fried eggs.
The good news: It tasted SO good.

New Moon.

This movie got so many press, it was ridiculous. I read the book, and I was somewhat disappointed when it came to certain situations in the movie. It could have been better.
Now I'll be purchasing the book Eclipse real soon, because the movie to it is coming out next summer. The books are way better than the movie. I mean seriously, how can they eliminate key points from the book. The newspaper AM New York gave the movie 1 1/2 stars. So according to them it flopped. This movie sold so many tickets over the weekend. But that doesn't mean it was great.
All I'm saying is, it wasn't that good, and I expected more. But now I have to wait until the next installment, Eclipse.

Taylor Swift fea. T-Pain - Thug Story.

Thug Story music video.

Taylor:what,I knit sweaters yo, so don't test me *bleep*. Hey hold on, hold on,I didn't even say anything, and you bleeped me. I didn't even swear.
T-pain (with auto-tune): She didn't even swear.

That was the highlight of the video.

His drug of choice was cocaine

Leonson and I were at the train station, waiting in line to buy a metro-card. When suddenly, a guy in front of me was fidgeting in his pants pocket, and what fell out? 2 bags of cocaiine. You know those small weed bags? That's what I call it.
This is it.

Anywho, 2 bags of this fell out his pocket. One was filled, and the other had about a quarter left. When I first saw it, the first thing I did was stepped back 2 feet. Then I looked at Leonson. He was just as shocked as I was. I couldn't believe my eyes. At that time, I was scared, upset, and annoyed at the whole situation. That was the first time in my entire life that I've seen a drug other than weed/marijuana. I don't even consider weed a drug. Because there are things worse than weed, and it's legal. So weed for me is nothing. Yes, I'm black, and I'm Jamaican, but I don't smoke weed. An ignorant friend of mine said that all Jamaicans smoke weed. And I know a lot of people think that way. Jamaica is not like Amsterdam, it's illegal. I mean the law isn't that strict about. I remember the police raided a house couple doors down, and found weed, and left. They didn't report back to the station or anything. They took that stuff for themselves. And the government expect the people to listen to them..........when their people isn't.

I miss Jamaica.

I was on youtube watching a few videos. At first I started watching Kirk Franklin videos. Then I saw a video clip of him in concert in Jamaica. Then at the sidebar I saw a video that said, 'violoence in Jamaica, Jamaica's most wanted.' I watched it, and remembered what it was like. Anybody from Jamaica would remember Joel Andem. This was before 2003. I mean this guy was a sick and twisted individual. And he had a group of followers that called themselves The Andem Warriors. I mean this guy and his people were in the hills, killing people. And I would never forget the raw video footages the police got a hold of from them. I mean these people were slaughtering cows. This one guy choked the cow, and slit its throat with a machete. How mentally ill must you be to find that pleasing? That was some sick shit. And I mean people were scared to go up to those hills.

Enough about the bad.
More about the good.

After watching that , I saw a video titled Downtown Kingston Part II. Basically it's a video tour of downtown kingston Jamaica.
While the guy was recording, and his music was playing, I noticed that I was listing every store that would show up. I remembered this photo place, then the next thing that came to me was Tastees (a patty restaurant in Jamaica.) Then I started remembering eating cheese patty, cocoa bread, and a bottle of Ting grapefruit. Those were the days. Nobody could beat Tastees patty. And I mean, me just sitting there watching that video. I realized that I took advantage of it. I miss my home so much. I miss my family, and the food. I miss my aunts, my cousins. I miss going to Coronation Market. Oh my, I'm going way back with this one. I remember my parents waking us up at 5 in the morning, to reach the market by 5:30 am. Those were the days. It's been close to 3 years since I haven't visited. And on my next visit, I want Leonson to come with me. He says he's Jamaican, (but really) he isn't. He was born there, but he doesn't know anywhere there. So my goal is to show him around. Not just Kingston, but the other parishes also. My favorite parishes are Trelawny and St. Ann. Trelawny, because my God-mother took us to the country, and for the time that we were there, we had nothing but Jamaican Jelly. And St. Ann because of my favorite beach, Dunn's River Falls. It's sad to say that the last time I've been there was back in 2004. Sad, I know.
Jamaica - Only the best is good enough.

Congratulations to Edelle and Kashmar.

Edelle gave birth to a 7lb 12oz baby girl at 1:50 something this evening. Couple hours later Kashmar sent me a picture of the newborn. She is so adorable, with a little beanie on hew head. Everything sounds good, because I could hear her crying in the background. Edelle and baby Kashaya is doing well. And Kashmar, he's ecstatic.

Wierd Dream this morning.

I dreamt that I was involved with NASA. I don't like anything involving space, and personally I think the government is wasting a lot of money on it. I'm not talking about couple thousand dollars here, but millions, or even billions of dollars. I don't see why they want to find out if there is life on other planets.............................

Anywho, in my dream, NASA came to me, and told me that they needed me. So I told them that I would think about it. I thought they wanted me to go outer space to view everything. I told them I would do it, and they set the day and time I would depart. On the day of my departure, my mom asked me if I really wanted to do it. I told her yes. Then she asked me if I'm OK with walking on me the moon. I was shocked, and pissed, because nobody told me that I would be walking on the damn moon. I have no interest whatsoever. But it was already too late. I was going take off in less than 30 minutes. So I did what I knew best; I hid. Nobody could find me, and I heard them say the mission was off. Then a few minutes later, my brother found me. I bribed him, but he wouldn't budge. Eventually I had to go, because they said I signed a contract. And that was it. I woke up when I was in the space shuttle about to take off.

I got up to check my mail, and this is what google had.

Click on the picture, and see what comes up.

Hmm, wierd uh?

In College News.

I'm so happy. I just got an admission letter from one of the schools of my choice. And I'm happy to say that I got accepted. When I was applying, I could only choose 3. because only 3 schools carried my major. One was all the way in Brooklyn. It's the best out of the three. But let's be honest. That commute to Brooklyn, on a train. That is way too much. I'll get sick of it, within a month. And the other was in Manhattan. I mean it's well-known for its sciences, but they are the type to only accept half of your credit. So I'm very happy that I got accepted to this school. I mean it's so close to home. that's the best part. I don't understand why as soon as teens graduate from school they want to go away for college. I was never that type. If that happened, I would have been a mediocre student. I wouldn't be able to reach the expectations my loved ones made for me.

In Basketball News.

Miami Heats and the Cleveland Cavaliers played tonight. It must have been awkward for Shaq and Wade. It was funny to see them go against each other. But at the same time, Shaq and LeBron do make a good team. You have an excellent 3 point shooter, and a dunker. That could never go wrong, 20 seconds left in the 4th quarter, and they keep going to commercial.
Oh wow, Jermaine O'Neil got traded to the Heats, I did not know that. It's been quiet awhile since I sit down and watch the games back to back. Cavaliers won, 111, and the Heats lost, 104.

P.S. Lakers and Phoenix is playing now. Oh yea, Steve Nash and Kobe Bryant is going at it.
Lakers is leading by 6 so far. Hope they keep it up.

I forgot to blog about this.

Approximately 9:00p.m. two nights ago, The DC Sniper (John Allen Muhammad), was executed by lethal injection. It was back in late 2002 in Washington, where he and his son did this terrible act. I know what they did was wrong. I mean who are they to take people lives. And for the government to come to a conclusion for him to die by lethal injection, they are just as bad. I believe that if you do a crime, you should do the time. And execution is only an escape. They should have made him suffer in jail, just like his son.

I forgot to mention that they gave him a choice. Meaning he had to pick how he wanted to die. The two were, lethal injection or electrocution. He declined to choose, so under state law, the method defaults to lethal injection.

Veterans Day.

Today is Veteran's day, and I went to school. Yep, school. CUNY celebrates Columbus Day, but not Veteran's Day. Wow, no regards for it whatsoever. I've been thinking about the war since yesterday. This war has been going on before I even came here to live. It's been over six years now, but yet it's still happenning. Soldiers are still fighting, more are being sent overseess. I really don't understand why this is still going on. You know what I would like to see? I would like to see the government children go to war and fight for their country. They're sending other parents' children to war, why not send yours.
The soldiers have been fighting for so long, that they don't even remember what they're fighting for.
The saddest part is when their time is up. They return to their home dead, or have some sort of psychological problem.
This war needs to end very soon. It has taken enough innocent lives already.
About last year this time, my school had a showcase. The showcase was about the war, the soldiers and the Iraqi civilians. When I entered the showcase, all I saw was shoes. Deceased children, parents and soldiers shoes. The thing that nearly got me teary-eyed was seeing the majority of baby shoes. Along with each shoes, came information on what took place. One of the information I kept on reading was,.....................................
how the child was playing, and saw something that looked like a toy, and therefore he/she picked it up. Not realizing that it was a bomb.

Fort Hood, Texas.

"The killer will be met with justice, in this world and the next"- President Barack Obama, Fort Hood.

.........and the next, meaning judgement day.
I was watching the ceremony with my mom, and to see the faces of the attendees; that was a sad moment. This guy killed 13 people, ranging from 19-65 years old.
Among the 13 was a lady who was pregnant.
Obama spoke abut every single one of these individuals. What they did, why they did it, and so forth.
R.I.P. to the soldiers that didn't make it.

I forgot

...to mention that the Yankees won the World Series. I don't really care for it at all. But since I'm living in the middle of it,(The Bronx), I had to say it.

"Go Yankees, yay" *yawns*

How to make Beet Lip gloss.

I was checking my e-mail, and I saw an ingredient from Ideal bite New York Bite. Basically it's a website, that encourages you to do things the green way.
So in the e-mail there was an ingredient on how to make your own lip gloss.
I mean I made my own lip gloss about two summers ago. It was chocolate, and it came out good. And yes I did use it, and it tasted so good.
Anywho, their main ingredient was Beet. Who would of thought? And the good part is, it will give your lips a tint. Think about it. Instead of buying lip gloss, containing ALL those chemicals. You could make your own, and your helping the earth by doing it. Here are the ingredients, along with the directions.

Beet Lip Gloss.

Beet Lip Gloss 10 minutes; makes 1/2 ounce What You Need:(local and organic whenever possible)
1 beet (light-colored red beets yield a red shade; darker ones get you a Merlot color)
3 drops olive oil
2 Tbsp powdered sugar
1 capsule of vitamin E oil
Repurposed lip gloss container or pillbox
Directions: 1. Remove beet from stem, wash, and chop into 1-inch pieces.2. Place chopped beet in microwave-safe container and heat on high for 1 minute until it releases juice.3. Pour beet juice and the rest of the ingredients in a small bowl and mix thoroughly (add sugar by the teaspoon until it reaches your desired thickness).4. Empty the finished blend into a small jar, preferably a repurposed lip gloss container. Let the mixture sit for 2-3 hours to thicken, then apply as you like. It'll keep for 6-8 months.

Another 4 years..........

of Bloomberg. I'm not stoked or anything. I mean he DID mess up the school system. But he did some good. For me, one good thing he did was trying to make New York a greener city by planting more trees, and limiting cars to drive certain areas. And extending bike lanes.
After his victory, he made a victory speech. I should have recorded everything he said. He made so many promises for the people of this city. I hope he really comes through with it.

So here's to you Mr. Mike Bloomberg,...........to another 4 years.

Daylight Savings Time.

Over the weekend we had to set our clocks one hour back. I was unaware, and was watching Mission Impossible III. But then I checked the time, and 45 minutes went by. I knew I watched more than half of it, but it was telling me that it's been on showing for 45 minutes. I knew something was wrong, so I started to look at the other clocks in my house. Then I came to the conclusion that the cable box is messed up..........again. So I went to sleep.................got up Sunday morning, and found out that it was DST.
Where did this come from? The whole idea of setting the clock 1 hour back.............
Well, that's one thing I learned from college Modern World History.
it all started during the World War. I believe it was the 1st World War. Anywho......the American soldiers wanted more sunlight to plan their attack on the enemy, so they decided to change stuff up.................................................They changed the time.

Shark on Shark crime.

Awesome. A "monster shark" attacked a great white. People who visit Australian beaches, be scared, very scared.

Alphabet Bitches- brought to you by Lil Wayne.

Lil Wayne has a song name alphabet bitches. Oh my, and this crap is considered music. Seriously? "These are my bitches, my alpha bitches x4...................I get bitches, say wha, I get bitches, I get more." If I hear someone singing to this song, I might call them out on it.

If your skeptical about the H1N1 shot.....

The following advice, given by Dr. Oz, makes a lot of sense and is important for all to know:

The only portals of entry are the nostrils and mouth/throat. In a global epidemic of this nature, it's almost impossible to avoid coming into contact with H1N1 in spite of all precautions. Contact with H1N1 is not so much of a problem as proliferation is.

While you are still healthy and not showing any symptoms of H1N1 infection, in order to prevent proliferation, aggravation of symptoms and development of secondary infections, some very simple steps, not fully highlighted in most official communications, can be practiced (instead of focusing on how to stock N95 or Tamiflu):

1. Frequent hand-washing (well highlighted in all official communications).

2. "Hands-off-the-face" approach. Resist all temptations to touch any part of face (unless you want to eat or bathe.)

3. *Gargle twice a day with warm salt water (use Listerine or Hydrogen Peroxide if you don't trust salt). *H1N1 takes 2-3 days after initial infection in the throat/ nasal cavity to proliferate and show characteristic symptoms. Simple gargling prevents proliferation. In a way, gargling with salt water has the same effect on a healthy individual that Tamiflu has on an infected one. Don't underestimate this simple, inexpensive and powerful preventative method.

4. Similar to 3 above, *clean your nostrils at least once every day with warm salt water, or hydrogen peroxide. *Not everybody may be good at Jala Neti or Sutra Neti (very good Yoga asanas to clean nasal cavities), but *blowing the nose softly once a day and swabbing both nostrils with cotton buds dipped in warm salt water is very effective in bringing down viral population.*

5. *Boost your natural immunity with foods that are rich in Vitamin C (Amla and other citrus fruits). *If you have to supplement with Vitamin C tablets, make sure that it also has Zinc to boost absorption.

6. *Drink as much of warm liquids (tea, coffee, etc) as you can. *Drinking warm liquids has the same effect as gargling, but in the reverse direction. They wash off proliferating viruses from the throat into the stomach where they cannot survive, proliferate or do any harm.

In current news.

A judge in New York postponed the swine flu shot for health officials who are forced to take it. If not, they lose their job.

A judge in Louisiana did not allow an interacial couple to get married. Because he thinks that it's not right. And also saying he's not racist, because he has black friends.

Obama won the Noble Peace prize.

A college football player was stabbed to death, on campus, hours before his game.

A boy.....father..... UFO......sky........fame.......reality show.

That's all for now folks.

Carving Pumpkins.

Do you love the idea of carving pumpkins during this time of the year?.......Well, if so, say 'thank you' to the Irish. Because they were the ones that brought it to America. At first in their home country, they carved Turnips. And when they arrived to this country they started carving pumpkins.

Today is Native American Genocide Day, mostly known as Columbus Day.

America celebrates it, so.........
Happy Columbus Day!!
To the government of this country, I hope you all are ashamed of this day. Honouring a man that committed such crime against innocent people.
Claiming he 'founded' this country.
The last time I checked, I thought that if you found something, you should be the first. I'm sorry to say that Columbus wasn't the first.
What's the problem? Native Americans aren't considered people? Because they aren't white?
They , (The Native Americans), were the first people here, but yet, at the end of the day, you people 'in charge' reserved a piece of land for them. Reservation Land.

Baby Pearl - Funny or Die pt.2

Baby Pearl - Funny or Die

No Homo

Lately people have been using that phrase. Because they hear it from hip hop artists.
For example: Lil wayne, Kanye West and Cam'ron.
This is going out of control.
Here's a clip that actually made sense, and made me laugh at the same time.
"Take yah best shot. Suck a dick, no homo." - Cam'ron.
"....everybody on your dick no homo"- Kanye West.

Click here, since I'm unable to post the video.

CUNY.

Why is it that CUNY wants to mess with you in any wrong way as possible? At first I thought it was just my college, but noooooo, it's the entire system. I'm currently enrolled in the school, which exempt me from paying the transfer fee. The last document I had to submit was a copy of my bursars receipt. I did that over 3 weeks ago. And kept on calling to hear where my application is. It's still at UAPC Transfer headquarters. Because they didn't recieve anything. So I called them at 9:30 this morning, and the machine told me I had 3 callers ahead of me, and my waiting time will be 3 minutes. 15 minutes later I was still waiting. So overall, after waiting alittle over 45 minutes, I finally got through.
Then this lady is going to tell me that I shouldn't have mailed it in.
Are you freaking serious!!!!!!

I told her step by step what the other dumb lady told me.

Lady: You're application is not in process because you haven't paid the transfer fee.
Me: I'm enrolled in a Cuny school.
Lady: Oh, so you don't have to pay the transfer fee.
Me: Ok, so what else do I need to do to get my application moving?
Lady: Mail us a copy of your bursars receipt. Proof that you are currently taking classes at a cuny school.
Me: Is that all?
Lady: Yes.
Me: Ok thank you. Bye.

1 month later............I'm in the same damn situation.

OMG. These people are messing with my parents money, and worse of all my education.
I'm about to go off on one of them.
These people will have you going around in circles.
Now I have to find somewhere that has a fax machine, and send it to them.
I'm.......... sick ..............and............. tired ...............of this damn system.
They need to set their system straight.
Time is money.

Man being chopped alive.

Why is it that Jamaica, (one of the smallest countries in the world) has a higher crime rate than Germany, Dominica Republic etc.
Jamaica is a very religious country, but at the same time, it's one of the most violent. In Jamaica, there is a church on every block, and the malls, and stores are closed on Sunday.................................................

I like this guy (Hugo Chavez)

President of Venezuela.

First he called Bush the devil, now he says that Fox is talking bad about Obama because he's black, and that Fox is stupid.' Hey, he speaks the truth.

20 years old kid got stabbed

...........all because he bumped into someone. The saddest part is that he died. Now his son is going to grow up without a father. And for the killer, he had no remorse. He just kept on walking. Like nothing even happened.
Again, I have to constantly ask myself, 'what is this world coming to?'
Someone wants to pick a fight with you because you stepped on their sneakers.
Someone wants to kill you because you don't look like them,or have the same belief as them.
This is a sorry world. And the people who do these random acts are ignorant and pathetic.

Father left.

My father is doing his PhD, and he has to do something called a residency. So he left before the sun came up. He has to spend 3 days there. My mom says don't do anything 'bad'. So I told her that my brother and I are planning a party. We already bought the food. I asked her if I can buy alcohol. She started laughing, as if I'm joking.
The question is: Am I, or am I not?

School Rivalry leads to the death of someone.

All because both schools have a problem with each other.
This is some dumb shit.
What have this world come to?

R.I.P. Ms. Valentino

Early this week I found out that my high school science teacher had passed. She was one of my favourite, and she will truly be missed.

Cycling one handed.

I was watching Finding Forrester yesterday, and started questioning myself about how someone got the skills to ride a bicycle one handed. I know it took time and training, because I did it before. But the problem I can't seem to understand is, how I'm able to maneuver a bicycle with my left hand, when I'm right handed. I tried doing it with my right hand, and nearly damaged my body.

This came in the mail.

Bear Naked .
The best granola bar I've ate thus far. The best part, it had real fruits in it, pineapple, mango.hmm. The sad part, it had a few nuts. But I'll continue to eat it though.
Bear naked.............. The best there is.

I should be studying:

.........for my chemistry exam tomorrow. But I'm unable to. So I'm going to go take a shower, and drink a bottle of Argon and Chlorine.
YUM!

Goodbye summer.

I watched UFC this week.

Leonson told me about it, and called to remind me that it was on. Basically it's a TV show about fighters living under one roof, and fighting. Everything was going so good, until the first fight begun. One of the guy started bleeding the other guy to a bloody pulp. And the ref was there, circling the ring. I was yelling at the TV for the ref to stop. But he didn't. It was so disgusting, and inhumane. Then Leonson came to a very interesting point. My favorite types of movies are crime families/mafia. The Goodfellas, Casino, The Godfather etc. He said the movies I enjoy watching. Majority of it are based off true events. "So what's the difference", is what he asked me. I was unable to come up with a good answer.
I keep asking myself, 'why is that so',.........I'm yet to answer.
Anyway, I had to change the channel, It literally gave a headache.

Quote:

"It brings joy out of people, to knock people down."- Alan Iverson.

The movie: Something The Lord Made.

Dr. Alfred Blalock and Vivien Thomas.

Starring Mos Def and Alan Rickman, is based off true events. This movie is a drama about the medical field. About baby's turning blue, because of deoxygenated blood flowing to the body tissues. This movie is very inspirational. It also is about segregation, and the amount of things Dr. Vivian Thomas had to go through. Him being a lab technician, and people in his field looking down on him. All because he was a person of color.
This is truly a touching story.
With the works of these brilliant minds coming together, they invented Cardiac Surgery.

"Nigger, send me to the motherf^@%ing jungle."

"Don't wipe that shit, blot that shit."

I absolutely love this movie.

Lady Gaga's performance:

was somewhat disturbing.

Currently: Watching the VMA's.

Everything is going great so far. First Madonna's speech about Michael Jackson, then his tribute, done by Janet Jackson.
Taylor Swift won the first award, and she was in the middle of giving her speech and Kanye came and took the mic and said excuse. And began to say "Beyonce had the best video, so I don't see why she didn't win.
Kanye, you shouldn't have done that. I know you're full of yourself, but seriously? .......Seriously?

Just watched Behind the music: Lil Wayne.

The only thing I got from it is this guy made history by selling over 1 million records in 1week.
And he did any and everything by the time he was 11. Good for him.

"This is history in the making, now shut the fuck up and let me make it."-Lil Wayne

Now I'm going to retire from my computer and watch Monk, Psych, Chelsea Lately and The Soup.
Good night everyone.

Is it just me............ Soulja Boy Edition.

After Soulja Boy made that song, 'TURN MY SWAG ON', hip hop artists started to respect him.
Not to lie. That song is good, and the beat is crazy,(meaning good.) This will be the only time I talk good about this individual. Other than that, his other songs bore me, and personality wise, he makes me want to jump off a building.
Just heard Keri Hilson's version of TURN MY SWAG ON. Who did it better.........

Back to Jamaica./R.I.P Dominique John Dunn

I got up at 5 this morning, an I've been up ever since.
My god-sister left today. She went back to Jamaica.
Now I'm stuck with the dad and brother. Not a good look I might add.
I rearranged my room completely. Now it has the effect of more space.I also bought I scent diffuser which is suppose to smell like hazelnut, but instead smells like pancake syrup. I'm tired, and kinda feel dehydrated. Even though I drank 1/2 a gallon of water a couple minutes ago. My stomach hurts like hell. Maybe it's something I ate earlier. I'm not sure. I feel so damn lazy. I wish school didn't start yet. I started my vacation couple weeks ago. Man, I got to stop taking summer class.

P.S. Dominique Dunn passed away the same week Ted Kennedy passed away.

Brandon a Christian.

I went to church on Sunday, and spent the entire day there because it was convention. We didn't leave until around 10:00p.m.
This is how my day went.

My brother Michael drove us. But before we reached the church, the best part is how we got there.
We left the house at 11:30a.m. The church is all the way in Queens, and if we were to take the train, It would take us about 2 hours just to get there. So Michael plugged in the address in the GPS. I was in that car for 1 1/2hours. The GPS system took us all the way to Long Island, and kept saying that our route is being recalculated. Stupid GPS!!

So anywho, we arrived at the church, and the pastor was about to start preaching.
Skip to the ending of the service. Someone told me that my cousin was going to be baptized. Come to find out, it was Brandon. I was shocked. Shocked I tell you.
Afternoon service ended after the baptism.
And about three hours later, we all came back to church for the night service.

China Town, SoHo, Little Italy.

Yesterday I went to SoHo, China Town and Little Italy with Gaylia and Leonson. I had fun. Gaylia and I were looking for bargains. And when we were about to give up, we found it. But before we found it, we checked out couple stores in Soho. For ex: the Guess Store. I fell in love with the bracelets and chains they were selling. Then we went to Victoria's Secret. Why do they call it that, Victoria's Secret? They call it that because the secret is, Victoria is really a man name Victor. Anywho, we went in that store, and I was about to purchase that new PINK Vegan lotion product. It made my hands feel extremely soft, and I loved it. But Leonson, he says I have a lot. Doesn't he understand that as a female we can't continue to use the same thing over and over again. You have lotions with a lot of scents.........Anywho, I'll buy that at a later date. But instead I bought two cashmere and silk winter scarfs. Black and brown. I absolutely love them. Thank you Leonson.
Back to the Bargain. Our main goal to go to China Town was to find a purse that I might like. well I'm sorry to say that that never happened. But I did buy a neat bracelet, and two watches. That's about it. We reached China Town at around 1:15, and didn't leave until 5:15. We were close to home and decided to do a little more looking and shopping. I went into a retail store to look at what they had to offer, and came back out with 2 pair of jeans. I have to return 1 of them today, because they are way to tight, and I don't like my jeans like that.
Couple minutes later I got home, and checked the package room to see if my ELF products arrived. And not to my surprise, it did. We took the elevator upstairs, went straight in my room, and started sorting out the things. I don't wear make-up. So what I bought were over 2 dozen lip products. Lip tins, SPF lip gloss, therapeutic lip balm etc.
So that was how I spent my day yesterday.
I'm about to go make breakfast, and call Leonson to come get me.
So until then, later, and enjoy your day.

Feeding the seagulls.

Beach Videos.

Buried in the sand alive

Beach pictures.

The Beach.

So on Friday two of my best friends and I went to the beach all the way in Queens. It took us about 2 hours just to get there. But it was woth it. We all had fun and ate the day away.
And, I tasted Dr.Pepper for the first time. And it was pretty good. It wasn't harsh like Pepsi, and Coca Cola. It was smooth and nice.
So, we got to the beach at exactly 12:00. It was a warm and sunny day. So I thought the water would feel nice. I was wrong. It was chilli. But the higher the water got, the better it felt.
Trish was mostly on shore, in search of sea shells. we found a lot. Correction, she found a lot. While she was looking for shells, william was trying to teach me how to swim. First, he told me that I had to dive. As in use my hands, and jump in. I was so freaked out, because we had o go further than normal, because he didn't want me to hit my head on the floor.
Yea, so me diving, that never happened. Because of the huge waves that tried to attack me.
So, after I continually tried to make an effort to learn how to dive and swim, I eventually gave up.
So we all went back on the sand to relax and eat. They brought food and soda. Food in which Trish made that tasted good. When we were done eating, we had to wait a hour before we went back inthe water. So we buried each other, and layed on the towel, and got daarker (since we were already dark). Couple hours later, we played volleyball on the boardwalk and then walked it, for about a hour or more. Most importantly, we took a lot of pictures. Pictures of ourselves, or the environment itself. It was so beautiful. Wish Leonson would have been there though.

9.58 seconds.

That's the time Usain Bolt ran today in Berlin. He broke his previous record, which was 9.76 sec. This guy is on another level on his own.
The 100m consisted of 2 Jamaicans, 2 Americans, 2 Trinidadian and one antiguan. The caribbean dominated this event.
1st place: Usain Bolt (JA)
2nd place: Tyson Gaye (USA)
3rd place: Asafa Powell (JA)

It was a really good race. We all enjoyed it so much I had to record it.

2 Years.

Today is me and Leonson's 2nd anniversary. It's seems as if we've been together longer than that because of the ups and downs we had over the past couple months.
All I have to say is I love him so very much. I know he knows that already.
But anyway, I really hope we can both put the past behind us. Because I'm tired of what happened last night.
*Happy Anniversary to us my love.
